Hi

I have a pair of these speakers (not for sale) which I purchased back in 1992 but did not get them for six months due to the company going bust.  I can only assume that about 500 pair were sold due to the serial numbers that I have got.  They are still used most days and still sound good.

I have got part of the original address from where they came from:

Brinkman ltd, alpha house, Treforest Ind Est, CF37 57G or 6

Im not sure if the company still exists!

Brinkman went dormant years ago.

If you need information you can contact Mr Peter Wilson On 07939 928551

He will help with any information you require on them.

He and my self produced the speakers for many years and he may still hold some old stock.

cheers

well, I am still about, and listening to TWO pairs of Brinkmans . Thanks to Trevor for the 1st pair and to a lady from London for the second pair. I really love the sound, the looks  and the memories. Most importantly, the missus loves the looks and sound too.I just told her that Damian has a pair for sale, I didnt realise I could mind read so quick and so clearly, ha ha

She has just left the room so, if the price is right, you never know

Spose the next thing Im looking for is a pair of mono valve Quad amps at the right price.

Whoops, she just walked back in and mentioned the bass practice amp that she wants, not to mention a Clavinover or some expensive organ. Oh well, we will she

Brilliant site

I ha ve a pair of Brinkman venetien vase style speakers No 417 & 8 bought at the Ideal Home Exibition quite a few year ago. Black with gold on white stands. They are great speakers but unfortunately they are now an insurance write off. What would be the best to replace them with and the cost.
Be a great help if anyone out there can tell me. They were always part of the furniture, didn't really look like speakers and were always a talking point.

hi all, I have just bought a set of Brinkman Endymion speakers but require information from other owners.

my speakers have aluminium  coned bass speakers with brass dust covers (that look hand made) by an audio company in west sussex in 1994

the cross over has an 11watt wire wound ceramic resistor, a metal film capacitor which doesnt appear audio quality and a ferrite core, comprising a stick of ferrite with wire hand wound around it.

They have no serial number or logo.

I suspect the speakers have been rebuilt (or they are a prototype set)

If you search for BRINKMAN ENDYMION pictures, you will see the speakers I bought, with obvious silver bass cones.

The question is, are your speakers like this, and if not, what are the specifications:

bass speaker, tweeter, (type and manfacturer with serial number if you can)

Cross over network values,: resistor, capacitor, inductor.

I would like to return the speakers to their original produced condition

Thanks for your assistance.

Paul
