Hi all,

Bill read your review on focus -live at the rainbow - sounds great have you received W.O.T .W. DVD yet?

Show/hide user stats

Hi Carl,

Sorry, that was the Focus "Anthology" DVD review...slightly dodgy picture in places but audio was better. (So you get to see them in action too!)

The Focus CD has just arrived. Not sure about WOTW - but I've got 5 unopened packages here

Glad you just reminded me !!

Kind regards,

Bill.

Sadly I've got everything except WOTW

I did get the 50th Anniversary Edition, double disc set of "Forbidden Planet" though .

Possibly the best scifi movie ever made....certainly one of the earliest (!)

I think WOTW is probably being back-ordered from the suppliers....

It wasn't actually in stock when ordered...

Kind regards,

Bill.

Santa where,s me *****ng -bike?

My only problem Carl, is where I'm going to find the time to watch all this stuff

A colleague gave me the entire last season of Atlantis (top show) on 2 discs (10-11 episodes per disc approx - encoded in DiVx)  I can now watch this on the laptop but the audio is the main disadvantage.

Picture quality looks ok though....

Cheers,

Bill.

Was thinking of  getting sender from computer to tv but not enough good quality stuff to download - eg film - rather put on Divx disc than have two componants tied up? - not watched much of Atlantis will  have to catch up. Cheers ..Carl.

Carl, I find myself irresistibly drawn back to this thread for some unknown reason....i-s-o-t-e-k....

Tried a "real" pair of headphones with a Jack adaptor on the DiVx recordings....not bad. Problem solved!

Kind regards,

Bill.

Hi bill,

46000 -Think we will have to start new thread you got any ideas that will spark up some cracking conversations !!!

What are a "real" pair of head phones

Show/hide user stats

Carl...where have you been !?   You are allowing this thread to fall into rack & ruin !

If it weren't for the power of Suggestion.... ( )

Yes...when I say real phones I meant not the kind you stick inside your ears but the ones that wrap around the outside of the lugs

Kind regards, Bill

There's a good headphone Forum BTW called "Headfi.org"....

Cheers,

Bill.

Hi bill,

Have you noticed the results are on the main page for test?

Show/hide user stats

Hi Carl,

The Focus Anthology dvd was acquired from Woolies website for only £5-99 (!) BTW...

Kind regards,

Bill.

Hi Carl,

I don't like to worry you but a new "Dark Horse" has emerged...

SBs music thread now clocking at over 30K, although at 49K you are doing well

(..and SB's not even using Mesmerism !)

Kind regards,

Bill.

Hi Bill,

Talking about music, and friendly chat, will always out number talking or having heated discussions on the complex workings of hifi, -  and the ladies are better company - would you not agree? sniff sniff got to go back to work next week - bank balance is nagging me.     Cheers ...Carl.

Hi Carl,

You can afford not to work (gasp!) You must be loaded mate !

Sorry to hear that the rest period is over, but look on the bright side - a new one is about to commence

Indeed SB, Tamara & co are excellent company and tireless music absorbing machines into the bargain !

Sorry I hadn't responded to your question about the link.  I tried this but at the update stage I ended up with a blank form and a dead end.  Where did I go wrong ?

I will be back shortly Carl - my daughter has decided she needs a lift into town by 7.30pm. (yikes !)

So pencil me in for 8pm !!!

Kind regards,

Bill.

Hi Bill,

Work - was hoping to take early retirement but things are on hold at moment ?- work place being sold off and contracts so its time to go before my pension is lost!!

Will be visiting London and king tuts exhibition in the dome this weekend, whistle stop visit sat to sun pm. so Dave AV Review, wont have time for one of your bands gigs - shame - next time hopefully ?

Show - tickets given me by mate pre booked months ago his misses had  urgent operation to leg so this trip is a bit sombre if you know how i feel.     Cheers ..Carl
