Hi Bill, stephen nicholas 2, The credit crunch had several of my friends racing to move money around,....and are on tenderhooks regarding the future. The banks 0.25% drop in interest rate might help to nudge-forward the market....I hesitate to say Kickstart. That's good news for friends openng the shop.

Stephen Nicholas 2 Brought Keb Mo CD...you'll tell me it's not his best.. "Keep It Simple" but it is a start.

Hi Tamara, Indeed....John has been a prolific writer on the Forum (never wrote short posts) so I'm sure that a few ideas are stirring in his mind.... He was great to bounce ideas off too....even if they did come back with the force of a cricket ball Someone had the temerity to open a new Mains Thread which would almost certainly have got John's dander up had he been available for comment but unfortunately the munchkins are all scurrying about in complete freedom....
Hi Bill, You're right about John's posts. He initiated some cracking thought..my mind could meander all day alongside one of them.
Hi Bill, Oops i answered that post ? on mains, but John did not post me or dis me, but there again he probably missed that post ??? Things are a little quiet without Johns input, perhaps Dave Oliver can let us know when John can rejoin the threads, as he did say that John was on a break ??
Hi Carl, Quiet is an understatement I think Dave meant an "enforced" break or cooling off period Charles Darwin is believed to have said, on his deathbed, that he regretted undermining God with his evolutionary theories.... I hope the same level of regret does not come to those who slagged off my Mains cables ( ) All the best..............Bill.
Hi Bill, Carl, I am now wondering. Does that make Bill a God equivalent and you Carl a munchkin?
Hi Tamara, Good heavens no !! Carl has never uttered an unkind word about my Mains cables Got to keep the record straight
(I categorise myself as a particularly mischievous munchkin in the figurative sense.... )

Hi Dave, What ever you like as a man of the cloth I am sure he'll forgive you and has probbly heard a lot worse. You've made me really howl now! Nothing like a crisis to bring the family together. Have a great night.

Hi Tamara, Thanks to your good self, I've been following the BBC4 Sessions and today was listening to June Tabor. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0074q95/ I was very surprised at how well her voice has held up with the passing of time. She strides up to the mic looking every inch a virtual pensioner....then this haunting voice issues forth..... The first 2 tracks in the session are pure folk and more or less what the audience expected....track 3 (around the 8 minute mark) is pure jazz and easily the equal of anything I've heard from Carol Kidd/Barb Jungr/Pat Barber etc)......Marvellous to listen to....

Hi all , I have been messaging and talking to John and he seems confident Dave will reinstate him soon but he is not sure when . Tamara, and All, If you like Keb Mo you will probably like Eric Bibb http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=J9LURKKEnA8&feature=related There are not many good video's on YouTube, but try to listen to the CD "Friends" there are some excellent tracks on it, he sings with real feeling, gut's, and emotion.

Hi Bill, Electro, Thanks for the links have had trouble all night with the net. I can't get either at the moment. I'll try in the morning.

Hello All,great night, best in ages,Charlie the Vic is what he likes to be called by his mates, and he can still put the booze away with the best of them, went to the local curry house, had my usual phall,Charlie caught us all out by pretending to say grace, then laughing his silly head off,we,ve decided to make this evenings meeting a regular thing, say once a month. Not looking forward to my visit from Caroline, she,s just too formal for my taste, probably due to the fact that she,s a Q.C with some firm in the smoke, and lives with her three children in Surrey or Suffolk or somwhere near there, along with her dipstick husband who,s also a Q.C.you know for years i always thought that the initials stood for Queer and some word beginning with C[sorry Tamara]but Caroline doesnt have a sense of humour, she,s going to love my mates, will probably have kittens, ahh shit i aint looking forward to this one bit, probably get the same lecture of "i told you so"or "i wouldnt be told"both refering to you know who,and she wonders why i never ring her or get in touch.Got to be at the airport for 11.30 tomorrow morning, prompt, wish i knew who rang her.............i,d strangle them............slowly..........Take Care All.............wishing he was rat arsed Mush

Hi Tamara, Living on a boat - how does that work? Yes Keb Mo is good and I second the Eric Bibb - one of his cds was cd of the year I think in HIfi news in the audiophile category. Also have a listen to Koite Habib. Perhaps we should start a forum on cd reviews - what do you think? Hi Bill, Hope you can get your turntable - yes i fear prices will go up - the sign of the times Hi Carl and Electrohead and Dave, I have really enjoyed this forum. Hope everyone is well. Cheers, Steve.

Hi Stephen There's already a forum for CD reviews music section. Just start a thread, call it a CD review, and join the rest.

Re John Fisher I asked him to take a break because he didn't seem to be able to avoid insulting people on the forum. I know some people have thicker skins than others but I was concerned that he would be putting new members off posting. He's obviously made some very good comments in the past but I'm not sure he can talk about cables without getting insulting/abusive/patronising - all elements I'd prefer to avoid here. Are you all keen to see him back then?
Hi Dave, Thanks - I should of looked at the other forums for cd reviews. Cheers, Steve.
