Hi all ,

I have started this thread to delve a little deeper into the characters of the most frequent users of this forum.

I think we should post our perception of each other based on each others posts and what they contain. It can be a description of how they look , occupation,  general lifestyle, position in life, or what "type" of person they are, or anything else you can think of.

Whilst I realise this may give some people an excuse to insult or abuse others , I hope we can keep it friendly and lighthearted as it is intended, it should be very amusing!

I will leave it to somebody else to post the first description so I do not pick on anyone in particular, feel free to choose me if you wish.

 All the best Electro.

Hi Electro,

I notice you didn't deny the similarities to Hugh Hefner!   (.....So you really do lie around the swimming pool with 10 beach beauties draped all over you.... )

This may have the makings of a "Mega Thread" .....(even if Gerald and John were the only volunteers! )

All the best........................Bill.

Bill,

If I had Hugh Hefner's money , it would be a choice between a Bugatti Veyron or a TVR speed 12 !provided I still had enough energy to drive after the 10 beach beauties that is !

Great stuff all. and electro this thread must be 'as Carver said in tomorrow never dies', 'insperational', although I think he was talking about putting out software with so many bugs in it, that people would always come back and buy the upgrades. (I wonder, was that a dig at Microsoft?) A new route to discussion, and a most interesting departure from all the cable claims, sorry wotslice, no offence meant.

However I will not start this one, as I usually open gob, before engaging brain, and I think in the last few days I have said some pretty unsavory things, and bypassed the T5 filter.

John...

PS who would want to drive after the 10 beach beauties?

John what "cable claims"

Hi All, Perceptions, Mr John Fisher !

Well, Hard one to put into words, but here we go !! Hopefully this is taken as just a bit of fun,

John gives out the wrong vibes to people that dont know him, at first, he comes over very self opinionated, which can rile people and start a feud off,

but if you look closely !,

this man is a lamb in wolves clothing, not shy but very much a loner, a very knowledgeable guy, and will be first to advise anyone, if they ask,

maybe a little set in his way of thinking ?

but is now coming around to the possibility that there is a little more to the world, than can be measured or seen !

John is getting to be a warmer friendlier member with each thread that i read.

Hopefully i have not offended you my frend ? ..........Carl.

Hi Carl, Bill, Elecrohead, and John Fisher,

You've made some very interesting comments so far!......perceptive in some cases...and quite revealing....I'll be back with a considered opinion later!

Show/hide user stats

Hi All,

I can afford to leave John alone as I already ventured an opinion on another Thread ...although I would like to ask John a question.....

Earlier on John, I noticed you referring to T1 - T3 and later assumed this to be a reference to the Terminator movies owing to your involvement in the movie industry ? (I suspected T3 wasn't a reference to the magazine of the same name!! )

But now you are up to T5 and this baffled me....? Is this an electronic reference ?

All the best......................Bill.

Show/hide user stats

Sorry Bill, it is a term that all close to me know, but fair comment.

As I'm sure you are aware I do rather like a drink, this is in the form of Tins of strong lager.

So a sensible reply at this time of day T 0.5, going on to the early morning ramblings at T5 status!

Now after 5 tins of Special Brew many could not even stand, let alone write, but 'practice makes perfect'.

Carl, I am impressed, 90% spot on , much as I may want to change, your right, I am set in my ways

I think it only fair to post a perception, no offence, but here goes.

A character that regards humanity highly, one whose interactions and sociability are far more important than technology, one whose friends and the music are top of the list. You enjoy games and most social interaction, one who is honest to a tee, trustworthy and reliable..

However I think that you would find the theory behind a toaster difficult to grasp....

John...

Hi John,

I am glad you've explained that I thought it was a teminal condition....this sounds self-inflicted.

Hi John....

"A character that regards humanity highly, one whose interactions and sociability are far more important than technology, one whose friends and the music are top of the list. You enjoy games and most social interaction, one who is honest to a tee, trustworthy and reliable.. "

Lets get this absolutely straight....you forgot to mention "S*x God".... (!).... ;D

Actually...that was so eloquently structured to it's conclusion it could have been written by Dickens or Jane Austen....not bad for T1! (Thanks for the clarification by the way buddy....now I understand )

All the best.................Bill.

Hi All,

John, Thanks blimey did not expect that break down on me but ! thanks, feel very flattered especially on the toaster !

Show/hide user stats

Sorry about the toaster, but having said somewhat flattering things, I then had a last minute thought, and as usual technology came to mind so a breakdown, 1 to 10 how near is that IYO ???

My perception of John Fisher is a tall man very fit goes jogging, and to the gym three times a week goes swimming and plays badminton, eats healthy food and does not really drink lager but the occasional glass of chardonnay, avoids red meat and fatty foods has mainly chicken and fish and does not smoke, dresses in a tweed coat with leather patches on the elbows. Been to Cambridge University and has a degree. Very knolagebly about electronics and a really nice person. I think he is a bit of a sex god after all he is half Welsh and half Italian, hense the stylish design input. I look forward to Johns reply. Gerald Ps I am still feeling well.

John, a very close 9, well done, i spent a lot of early years fixing things myself, as cash was sparse, then 22 years in auto ind, as a metallurgists technician,(actually head hunted) non routine, fault finding/testing/solving/reporting.! - job i really loved, until health problems. Cheers .Carl.

Hello Electrohead, which town in Essex do you live in, I am in Pitsea Gerald.

Hi Gerald,

I live in South Ockendon, or more precisely  Ockendon village which is the older nicer part of Ockendon , so I am only a stones throw down the A13 from you.

As a reply to Gerald I have to say you are rather off the mark, on a scale of 0 to 10 I would say about -50 I don't think any part of your perception could be further from the truth, whilst not obese I am hardly fit, as for eating, my main diet is Special Brew, I am hardly tall, in fact if I were honest then I would have to admit that I am a chronic alcoholic (and I thank the spell checker for getting those two words right), I don't wish to say too much here as it might prejudice others concept of me.

John...

Carl, sorry I missed a point from your involvement with metallurgists you are probably more technical than I read, equally I'm sure you appreciate than the weakening of steel does not suddenly happen but is a gradual process and fire temperatures are a product of the burning material rather than time.

Some time ago in the knowledge that I often piss people off without even knowing it I registered the website 'www.pissoffpeople.com' thinking that it could become a good 'slanging match' site. Have not thought about it since, but it could be an extension of the 'perception' idea     John...
