Cetaintly is. Have a good day. Steve.

Hi Stephen, I have no doubt about it.
Hi Tamara, Thanks. Hope you going okay - you have been in our prayers. Cheers, Steve.

Hi Tamara, Carl and Steve, it is a great shame that this thread has gone so quiet as it has been the most interesting to me. A simple hearing test that I suggested on one of the cable threads is this: Make two cups of tea, the same size cups and filled to the same level then add two teaspoons of sugar to one, then stir them up, the question is 'can you hear the diffence', as Rik H would say simply try it, unlike accessories it will cost nothing. I look forward to your comments and to hearing from you all again... John...

Hi John, Surely a man of measurements, would measure the said cups, contents, to get equal amounts in each cup before the experiments ? having worked in a lab - you can get beakers of the same density weight, plus a precise scale, to get every thing correct, but hang on here why are we conducting this experiment ? what is the point ? what will it prove, will it be of benefit to anyone ? we all know the thicker we are, we make a duller thud, hitting the floor !!! lol
I would like to say it's good to hear from you again, but it sounds more like a threat than a discussion. The point is that it is a straightforward test of hearing ability. Now by testing our hearing we can improve it, in the same way that if you joined a Jim they would note your performance such that you had a yardstick to measure any improvements by. Why this particular line of enquiry raises the heckles I do not know , maybe it is simply that it questions the individual rather than the belief... intrigued.... John...

Hi John, No not a threat just a light hearted conversation - well that is how it was meant mate, thought you knew me by now, ..Carl.
I'd like to think so, but suggesting that when I get 'floored' it would be a dull thud did rather ring a bell...John...
Maybe you've hit a nerve here as some 'light hearted' conversations in the pub did result me being on the floor with a black eye, so maybe the word 'thud' does conjure up bad experiences... John...
Sorry to hear that John, Not the kind of thing anyone would like, but drink and debate unfortunately do not go hand in hand, for a good outcome ! ....Carl.
Maybe not but drink does rather open up the mind to new experiences and therefore can bring new debates so don't knock it............... John...
Hi John, I like a drink myself, but it has led me to some silly situations, some funny, and some not so funny, i find the caution and reason side of my personality gets switched off leading to some rash decisions, cost one poor guy his three ribs, after he crossed the line, felt shamed after, so yes i will knock it as it leads to stupid actions, that can be harmful. ...Carl.

Hi Carl and John, I do drink sometimes but not to excess because too much alcohol has the opposite effect on me to most people, a small amount is fine but the more I have the more I sink into myself , I am fully aware of what is going on around me but my body becomes anesthetized so I usually sit in a corner with a stupid grin on my face and every body thinks I am being anti social. When taken to the extreme I literally can't move and I feel like I am floating on air almost like an out of body experience! hence I limit my drinking to a couple normally. All the best Electro.
Hi Electro, ".....but my body becomes anesthetized so I usually sit in a corner with a stupid grin on my face and every body thinks I am being anti social...." ....When in fact you are only daydreaming about Dartzeel pre/power combinations! ( ) Cheers......................Bill.
Bill, You've sussed me , now were is that bottle of whisky ! . Cheers Electro.
Hi All, Electro, i know a few that get the same symptoms as yourself ? very funny, that drink effects people differently could this be linked to our personalities ? during drink i react to peoples attitudes faster than if sober, for this reason i limit myself to just a few pints, and enjoy the night being in control !!
As we are talking about drink, this would alter one's perceptions on taste hearing and smell, as the alcohol in excess will dull the senses, even common sense, as i have found ?

I'm not so sure about that as on reflection many of the best things I have done in life have been at T4, even the sugar hearing experiment was dreamt up at T5, many of my replies on this site are at T4, in fact a large part of my website was written at T7, certainly the page about having a drink. So not all bad
