Fred, Sorry Fred, but are you not saying a cable is a cable is a cable, you said that there is no differance Between what and what?
Sorry did not reply fred - interconnect and speaker cables.
Nope, I never said that.

Stephen Nichols 2, wash your mouth out with soap and water, how could you be so insulting to say that John drinks water he would never let something like that pass his lips, the only thing he drinks is from a can which is made in Denmark, lets face it you cant get drunk on water. I think a post apologising to him would be in order. Gerald PS I hope I spelt your first name correctly I could not go back and check from your insulting post about water to check otherwise I would have lost what I had written.

Fred Scuttle, do you still have a horse to pull your milk float? also are you still the fastest milkman in the west, I bet your femail customers run up a lot of bills and you help them pay them off in kind, I suppose it must be a chore looking all those fantastic women. Glad you still use glass bottles and not those paper cartons. Gerald

Maybe this is the secret difference between engineering and subjectivness... John...
John, I believe engineering and subjectiveness go hand in hand, as one is meaningless without the other.

Ho well ??? that seems to end this thread, with just a yes/no answer, I hope you all feel proud of yourselves you have just proved that any one that wants to join this thread, and wants to learn and contribute to site, - obviously are not WELCOME BY YOU !!!
Take it easy Carl, it was a great idea and it just goes to prove that cables will never be a yes/no answer. Now it has been a bit of fun and it has opened discussion so it has done some good. Please don't beat yourself up about it, you have your answer in that many do believe in cables, just sorry I'm not one of them. Losing it comes to mind!!! John...

Hi John, As i see it, i know if some one comes on strong the impulse to shout them down is strong. But for new starters this is, and will put them off joining the site, there are a lot of people out there that dont want confrontation, and if they read these posts it will send them else where, john would it not be posible to welcome new members first then after getting to know you, have a civil discussion, to work out the creases, thank god Rik has a strong constitution, and can give as well as take flack,- john i admire this chap.
Hello there Carl, every time I see a post from from you, you go up and up in my admiration, if fact you are one of my favourite people, sorry but there are also other's I hope there is still a welcome in the hillside for me when I am next in Wales!! Have a good day. Gerald
Gerald All, There is always a welcome in the valleys from welsh people, god that sounds welshy to me ! ha ha thanks gerald, now lets all get along, zzzzzzzaapppp !
Hi Carl, I agree when I first join the Av forum as a newbie, I nearly did stopped continuing as i felt a couple of people took over the forum with there own agenda just to prove others wrong and came across quite confrontative when a different perspective was given. I only say this because it may be possible that this may stop others or new people responding to these forums. Please don't take this the wrong way I love discussion with different perspectives but I do pick up Carls frustration that his original intention of a yes or no was not quite fulfilled. Have a great day Steve.

Cheers Stephen, There may be some one out there with answers or tweaks, that we may never get to hear about, these people should be given respect ! even when thier thinkings are wrong ? ......Carl.

Funny how a post I put on here a few moments ago to Prick H has been deleted, Dave you are such a boy scout, maybe you were a prefect at school and todied up to the teachers, pity you dont have a sense of humour and see it as your duty to protect other people from comments. Lets see if you delete this post. Gerald
Dear Dave, sorry about the above post I read the wrong thread and though you had deleted it, sorry about calling you a boy scout, I have put a post on another thread with my appologies. Keep up the good work Best wishes Gerald.
Thanks for the apology Gerald, but leave out the personal remarks on the forum, even if people are being arseholes. I'll remove the posts and eventually bar people if it keeps up.
Hi Carl, Totally agree with you. When I first joined site thought it would be a lot of interesting people and I'd learn new things share new experiences. Unfortunately first post was replied to by the charm that is John Fisher. Hence this is the first post for months. I've never come across a site like this. It's certainly not condusive to debate just a place to rant. It's far from healthy. It's a bit like having a lovely old pub close by but when you go in there there's a little table full of old drunks insulting everybody and telling them to f$%* off. Slawts
Hi Slawts, Hope fully we can turn things around and make this a site where everyone that wants to join, will not be threatened by a minority ? having gone through the same sort of thing myself, on first joining. I know only too well how people will feel ? - dont like confrontations myself, but like a good discussion, got to admit that i find all on site very good company and regard all as mates, lets hope common sense prevails. Cheers ........Carl.
Hi John, Was hoping you would edit that remark.
Carl now you've got me really worried now as I never put that up, look back over what I say and I've never used the word before, well never in full. I've certainly never had a go at you either. Is it possible to get hacked into I wonder. Not me... John...
