NAD 542 V/S Marantz CD 7300, If anyone has auditioned these equipments, please advise

Hi Richard, I can tell you my first impresions with NAD 542 cd player. Conected with Rotel rx-1052, kef-iq-5,qed intercon.,& qed silv. ann.bi-wired cables. This is excellent sounding cd player,with good price,quality. Was thinking about Musical Fidelity A-5, Naim, but decided to buy 542. Much more resonable price for hi-end component, recomended. Currently own C542 cd with NAD C352 amp and epos m12.2 speakers. Have had no problems with the c542 and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a new cd player.

well i did a a-b test with the nad c521 BEE
and the marantz cd5400
the nad won
but you need to know that both of them
have a colored sound
nice stage for the price in the nad a bit
skippy on bad cd's
the marantz nice low mid but eq'ed on the high's in a bad way

Nad amp C352 - C572 links from pre out to speaker inputs - Found these links to be poor conductors. Change with good inter connects and let us know if you notice the differance?.
