Hello Bill,Carl, first cars eh,well i mainly into bikes untill an accident forced me into getting a car and if memory serves correctly it was a either a Vauxhall Firenza or a Ford Granada GXL and i think they were both 3.0litre,but one of them had the registration number of FCK287L will never forget that number.Iwas always into U.S. cars and bought my first "yank"a Chevrolet Impala,a monster of a thing, but what a puller,i then went sporty and got a Pontiac Firebird, and a succession of similar cars,Mustangs,Trans-Ams,Chargers etc till i saw an International Harvester 4 wheel drive dual fuel which i kept for about 3 years untill i saw the Chevrolet Blazer 6.2 D.D. which i still have to this day, dont think i,ll ever get rid of her or the Blazer.........Take Care All............Dave

Hi Dave,

I remember the Vauxhall Ventura (?). That was a very American-style model with a big engine.

Acceleration was dramatic and handled pretty nimbly too.... (Speaking from experience of a brief test drive!)

Best regards,

Bill.

Hello All ,yes thats the name of the Vauxhall, hated the bloody thing, the Granada was ok but the Impala was out of this world as far as pulling the other sex was concerned, but that was in the past,am waiting in tonight for this guy from Stoke who,s coming to audition the Krells,he,s a collector of Krell equipment[strange guy]so with a bit of luck i should be getting the Sugs earlier than anticipated.Still having problems with the computer, when i change posts it goes off, could you inform Wotslice that a Hurricane blower is a tube 100mm long with a ball at one end and a brush at the other, you squeeze the ball and as blast of air clears whatever fluff dirt is on your equipment, think that guy is here.............Take Care Mate...........Dave

Thanks for the info Dave.

BTW  my first car was a 1972 gold Avenger -  well it was better than a standard escort/cortina (well I thought so .....)

Regards
