I've had some fine speakers in my time, speakers capable of defining the art when introduced. Yet the Spendor SR5 on wall stereo/surround loudspeakers easily set a new standard for bringing music into my room. I emphasize the word "music", for this speaker understands what it is to make music."

Spendor speakers are always a good bet for musical reproduction. I'm sure these ones would be very good for multichannel music.

I'm not so sure how they will fare in replaying home cinema sounds, though. It's a controversial idea, but I think what works for one does not work at all for the other.

Slight change of subject, anyone know of 'Skyline diffuser panels' still at getting room right, and at £100 for 2 maybe better value than interconnects ?
I know a BBC sound engineer who loved Spendors but now appears to favour Harbeth.

Harbeth are more studio orientated than Spendor these days. If you look at their range, almost all of their higher end stuff has a studio equivalent.

One thing that I will say for Spendor is that if anything goes wrong, their after sales support is much better than Harbeth. I think Harbeth's orientation is actually more towards their export markets than the UK although clearly they have a BBC prescence. They are actually more commonly reviewed in the US/Canadian press than here.

The Harbeth speakers are a nice sound though. If you like BBC speakers, you'll like them.

O.K. but my question was more about diffusers to correct my over bright room. I only passed on the info about speakers.
