Acoustic Energy Aego 2
When the Aego 2 first appeared a few years ago, it cost £300 for the basic two-channel plus sub version (there’s also a 5.1 surround variety). But as the budget end of the market gets ever more competitive, the Aego just wasn’t cutting it...

Yes I agree with this review as I bought 1 a few years ago to plug the pc,dvd player & games consoles into after reading an excellent review in a computer magazine.
That night after they arrived we plugged the PS2 into them put Red Faction on & were thrilled by the resulting sound. The guns & explosion noises really bought the game to life & it felt you were right in the heart of the action(what would the surround kit sound like )
I agree bass switch on medium or low is best as it does really boom & living in a semi that isn't a good idea.
Now they are used with our dvd/sky as they are suited better & make a vast improvement on the tv's own speakers. Also they don't get knocked off so much by the kids now.
They have had some knocks in the past year (we have laminate flooring)however they seem to have survived well.
Bought JBL creatures for the PC,they do a good enough job especially as the PC is in the lounge & don't disturb the rest of the fammily like the Aego's would.

hi

Just putting together my 1st serious home cinema package-so far I have bought a Sony STR-DA1200ES amp,Samsung LE52M87.

I don't have much experience in this field and so far have relied alot on What HI-FI mag-which has become my "bible"

Next on my list are some speakers,I would really love a surround package,I very nearly owned the Mission M-cube system but got cold feet when they arrived as some of the reviews online said they were fairly medioca. At the moment I'm very interested in the Aucostic Energy Aego T which What hi-fi gave 5 stars to.Can anyone help please.

Oh yea,I have a budget of around £700 for my speakers

Cheers guys
