Being fairly new out here, I seem to miss a category of audio equipment.
The stereo receiver.

Notable and distinguished brands as NAD, Marantz, Sony and Onkyo still produce them and lots of people seem to use them.

Don't they belong here? 5.1 and 7.1 receivers seem to, but they're usually not as good with stereo.

Anyone any thoughts?

And of course, Magnum Dynalab if you want the high end.
