Having read your review of the Denon DCD-700AE and the Denon PMA-700AE pairing I purchased the pair.

The sound of the combination is wonderful and I still notice things that I had not heard in the same CD's previously. The one negative point I have is that the CD player cannot be put on standby via the remote control, which seems really strange in this day and age, and instead must be turned off via the push button to the left of the facia.
