Head to head: Full HD 50in plasma
To get the best big-screen resolution you still need plasma. We tried two of the top 1080p 50-inchers...

Again, you are missing the Pioneer (508SD or better still, the 508LX) and Fijitsu screens. If you going to test to find the best, you better actually test the best!

Sorry, 508XD in not full HD, but still probably blows these screens out the water!

Erm, thanks for that Swin - have you tried the screens then?

the pio's - yes. Seen the panny but inimpressed. Probably wasn't setup properly however. I have not seen these head to head, that's one of the reason I like to read these type of articles.

You would have helped more if you would have revied the Pio alongside.

PS - the line above should have read "seen the Pannys but NOT impressed" at least in comparison to the Pio's.

I'm sure we'll be getting it in. Any others you'd be keen to see? That request's to everyone by the way - tell us what you'd like to see reviewed and we'll get as many lined up as we can.

Thank you for a very useful and objective review,  I too would like to see the Pioneer LX model LX508D  but am also interested in a comparison between the LX508D and The LX608D  . These seem to be the best sets on the market at the moment and I would use thme with both Blue Ray and 1080P source from the Sony XDCAM EX .

I am delighted to have found your excellent site .
