Hi Guys,

 I am planning to set up my own amateur Hi-fi system. Was confused on the speakers.... between Monitor AUdio BR5 (Heard so much about them) & Wharfdale 9.5's.

In my city (New Delhi, INDIA) I dont have the option of listening these speakers. Have to order them from another city. Can anyone advice me which one of the above two might be better? I listen to lots of classic rock, jazz, blues. I love bass and dont want to go for a sub right now.

Looking at clarity, depth and bass in the speakers. ALso if anyone could advice what amps/receivers would suit the above two speakers best.

I just bought the Monitor Audio BR5's and am very happy with them.  They are very dynamic and great for the price.  Bass is enough punch for my smallish room (3 x 4m).  The compact size helps too (under a metre tall and with small 'footprint'). 

I drive them from a NAD3120 amp with NAD C542 CDP as source.  The amp is low wattage and as the MA's are high sensitivity (90) there is no issue here. I have not heard the Wharfs but I would recommend the BR5's.
