I have just had a three day Audition of the Advance Acoustic MCD203II CD Player, and i give you my advice which is to get one as fast as you can, before they see sense and price it at over £1000 as any European manufacturer would.
I am a self confessed Audiophile nut and without boasting, i have a very high quality system. This Reference system is very capable of quickly showing up a components weaknesses or strengths. The AA MCD203II played flawlessly through this system, and i truly believe that this CD player sounds better than anything I've heard, even up to £1000!!
The player does have a few minus points for some silly design errors which are, that the 'open/close' tray button needs to be repositioned as it is obstructed when the Tray is open making things a little awkward. The player will also 'Auto shut down' if not used for a while to protect the valves from being left idling without use for a long time. It will then take another start up time of a a full 60 seconds, again due to the valves, and this will annoy all but the most forgiving of people. And finally, I would have liked to see the addition of a 'Display Off' button, as most Hi-end CD players feature this to minimise on interference during critical listening.
My conclusion is that if you are a true Audiophile enthusiast with a high quality system that can display this CD players Star quality then i urge you to audition this CD player. If you see a review saying anything other than that the sound of this CD player is simply outstanding for the price, you must then have your own mind, and again just simply audition it. It will not dissapoint.
I have not purchased any Advance Acoustic Equipment yet, however I will definitely be placing an order for one next month.
