Can anyone tell me if HD-DVD disc can be played on a Sony DVP-NS92V Hdmi player, no one seems to know.

I am sorry but I dont think it can, it can only enhance DVD's in to 720p mode, whereas it does not play them in modes such as 1080i, or 1080p. Basically it cant play HD DVD'S, but it can surely output great picture.

 Many thanks for the info I agree with you on the picture quality I have the player connected by Hdmi and component video and at times it is hard to tell which is best.
