Sorry but i think both camps on the hi def fence are shooting themselves in the foot. 

The price of hi def dvd's shot up at xmass. both formats on the film front dont display true hi def ( no I MAX ) cameras are used on films ? and 45 percent are old films re:released. the only value for money are the documentaries filmed in I Max.

I own toshiba hi def player after checking both formats out and finding no difference in display - the pre xmass  price of player and dvd's - plus the ability to download web content made me choose.

O well.

R.I.P. hidef -- on the bright side i now get cheaper dvd's.
