okay

so i just got the Sr8500

and when i'm using it watching a movie or something

sometimes when the sound gets louder

the speakers stop and the words "protect" comes up on the Sr8500

can anyone help with that problem?

Check all speaker wires are secure and not touching, make sure that wires have not been snagged or cut, use a full run on each speaker.? -Check polarity?

Check ALL speaker impedance matches amp - check your max watt of amp matches your speakers.?

The display "protect" is warning that the speakers can not handle the power that you are trying to push into them, This is a safety issue to protect your amp from damage?

Have you set up the correct number of speakers in the set up menu ? 

Did you buy speakers and amp from same store???
