I recently purchased a home entertainment system comprising: 42"LG TV(HD ready);OnkyoAVReciever HT-R508 with Tanoy Speakers; Medion MD8828 Entertainment PC Base Station with Blue Ray and HD-DVD.I am delighted with the performance of the sound system when used with the TV, but when I play a DVD via the PC, the vision is OK, but the Audio is poor, lots of "hissing", not clear and sharp as when used with TV. The same happens when playing a CD.

I contacted the PC manufacturers help line and following various checks, including downloading a Soundcard Driver,they pronounced that the problem was "external to the PC".

Can anyone sugest a solution to my problem?

What are connections from PC to Audio - TV ???

And has PC got SPIDF OPTICAL- output ?
