we are just in the process of comimg into the 21st century and am planning to buy a suurond sound system, can any one give me any thoughts as to the best 5.1 systems to buy, we are looking to match it with a pioneer 50 inch and an arcam 5.1 music system.

When you say ( 5.1 ) Arcam music system are you saying you have one or getting one ?

If this is 5.1 then you can connect this to DVD player??

 Sorry i am thinking of getting the 5.1 movie solo, so we need a good surrond sound system.

If you look on the review section of this site you will have good idea of what surround amp to go for, - you dont have to buy any of these, but they will give you an insight to what these can do, - and connect to, - and what sort of price you can pay - but look on the net to find bargain.   Cheers  ..Carl.
