Sorry but serves them right - it is the price of these discs that is now showing how people think about the vast leap in price between standard and hi def DVD

The manufacturer have them selves to blame they are the ones that caused standard DVD prices to fall, - there by, pushing the consumer to buy the cheapest option? - if they want their players market to rise then the price of the discs have to come down - its a win win situation for us or no win situation for them - The ball is in their court?????

Hi Carl, how are you feeling, hope things are getting better for you.......Youre right on with this Blue Ray thing, the players themselves are a royal rip off, twice to even three times the cost of a "normal "DVD player and the discs are the same, its o.k. for these companies to spend millions developing these systems, but not so in them hoping to recuperate it from the "gullible public" who are getting pissed off at being duped, same as that con HDTV did they tell you, that you needed a decoder when they were advertising them,no they didnt, and while i,m on this bandwagon, how about this UKTV on freeview then, its all BBC programmes thats being transmitted but the beeb want a subscription for that as well, and monthly, why cant the beeb be abolished, why,if you dont pay your license fee are you subject to imprisonment,i was talking to a friend in Axton Virginia, who didnt believe me about this subject,ah well, musnt grumble, must keep my feelings to myself, unless of course i,m one of the new majority..........Dave

Hi Dave,

Well what can i say you seemed to be a reserved chap ?? - Just like me - ha ha ?

YES YES YES I totally agree with your thoughts on this subject - now correct me if i am wrong dont we pay for programs made for the BBC ? and dont they after showing it to British audiences sell the program abroad thus raking in revenue, plus as you say subscriptions for UK gold and co?

It is about time the British people stood up and said enough is enough and take a stand against this highway robbery and say no more??? Remember the Alamo?/ Oops sorry the Poll Tax - by standing our ground - did that not stop it ???  Cheers PS: I'm OK ........Carl.

Hi Carl,i can see it leading to armed insurection, storming the beeb, and where will it get us?? absolutly nowhere, let the british over 60s charge the bbc on our state allowed quad bikes, lances at the ready, and instead of calling it balaclava,we,ll call beebaclava,.....ah well back to the medication......Dave
