Apple will release the new iPod Nano - iPod Nano 4Gen in recent days.

What 4G Nano look like?
So what will the 4G Nano look like? According to Kevin Rose (founder of Digg) that diet has resulted in a longer and thinner iPod Nano, which will look something like this:

Yep, it's similar to the 2G Nano, but looks slightly longer and with a larger widescreen display.

Another question, what new features will 4G iPod Nano have?

“The new iPod Nano will Change case colors in minute. That means one minute your iPod was red and the next minute your iPod was blue. You'd have a whole rainbow of colors in your pocket ... and you wouldn't have to choose just one.” Said Seth Weintraub, Coputerworld.com editer.

Seth also added that“ the 4G iPod Nano will own turn by turn GPS navigation system. It will be in conjunction with Google maps, and GPS maps could be purchased in the iTunes easily.”

While all of this function sounds wonderful, no one can be sure until around Apple release new iPod Nano in September. So keep your eyes about it.

Well, it is a nice idea of Apple to produce an iPod nano which changes it's colour. But is this a ground-breaking and necessary invention? I am not sure if I will need it at all costs.... on the other hand I like the idea with the GPS system. Something usefull one can deal with in daily life.

This is a BBC interview about Ipod range:

Lie melanie, I could be tempted by the GPS fascility.  I like the idea that it's rivalling the games consoles: demonstrated. The new design is stylish but not a necessary change.

The colour change isn't a feature which would impress me.  I like the idea of shake and shuffle: a sort of lucky dip of music listening?

All in all it's not an immediate rush to buy feeling more a consideratuion for when the inevitable happens to one I have.

I didn't think that there were any enormous improvements in the Ipod range.  There was nothing there that made me want to buy any new hardware.

There were several things that are obvious that are still missing; wireless synching is an obvious omission and the ability to pick up new podcasts wirelessly is something that they should really have done.

All of the most interesting recent improvements for me have been in the area of the Apps store.  The remote control app is extremely effective and all the better for being free.

Hi,

I am glad you agree with me in some points. I have no iPod and I am happy about it. Because I like to listen to music and thats all. I do not need any extras or special functiones on my mp3. I am content with a few GB and good music (as Tamara already knows I like to listen to music again and again and I don't change the songs on my mp3, weird, I know).

There are a lot of phones that are pretty good for that purpose these days.  If you look at what kids are listening to on the tube, it's generally from phones.  Maybe Ipods are for old people!

lol... I've never seen it from this point. I think that a phone with a mp3 would be enough for me because as I alredy said I don't need so much memory. But even a mobile phone with a huge memory could not compete with a 16GB iPod.... that's the difference. (I think, please correct me)
