You know, I sometimes wonder why large electronics manufacturers such as Philips even bother to take on Apple in the MP3 player market. Surely the contest is over and they'd be better sticking to other areas of hifi and AV?

I agree it does seem virtually pointless, but philips must make enough money from DAP's for them to continue manufacturing and selling them. A bit of competition is always good
