
Forgot to mention.... don't forget, that the Sonos can be used as a wireless streaming pre-amp and connected into, for example, an AUX input in your existing amp so you can continue to use your existing system. The Sonos ZP would, in this scenario, only strem the music in, and then pass the audio via it's pre-outs to your amp of choice. Best of both worlds!!
PS Just got a 60GB iPod and all the music on it is in AIFF and it sounds superb! We owe it to our kids to educate them and stop them thinking that music is MP3!
PPS - In response to Mike Watson, no the equipment most certainly is not more important than the music in my opinion, that is why I make the point above about MP3 and compressed music in general. I would much rather have a select number of CDs (which with today's disk sizes can mean 100+) ripped to my MP3 player/iPod which I chop and change when I want, and listen to them in a high quality uncompressed format, then have 1,000 CDs ripped in MP3.
