I feel a little satupid posting this, but I finally bought some Banana plugs and I can't seem to be able to plug them into my Amp. I removed the plastic covers on the back of my speakers and plugged the banana plugs in with no trouble, but can't remove the covers from my Amp.

Any advise would be grately appreciated.

The plastic plugs in your amp are there to stop the Eurpoeans from plugging there electric plugs in by mistake. If they look like tiny coloured plugs stuck in the phono sockets, they will come out using a small screwdriver to prise them out.

I ended up taking my amp apart to see what the problem was and it was that the terminal posts were solid metal which meant there was no scope to use the banana plugs, so I ended up going to Maplins and bought some replacement posts and fitted them myself. - Had my amp still been under warranty I would never have done it, but seeing as my amp was past its warranty, I thought I'd give it a go. It works a treat.

Were you trying to put them straight in, or through the side holes?

I've got the same amp and have put the banana plugs into the posts without any problems.
