Hello All,who or what are the banana splits, sounds like some kind of ice cream,Alison K & Plant, heard their album, hated it from the first track, thought it may get better as it went along......but it didnt, and so ended up where most things i dont like do,got a quote from Nikon about that F5,silly price so thats in the bin as well.Off to Darley today to get back my album collection that guy was supposed to have transferred to reel tape but as yet hasnt even done one,and in the mood i,m in at the moment,if i wasnt in plaster........he would be,dont know whats brought this on,but i,m absolutly furious about somthing, maybe its this diabetis or the fact that i,m now retired,or more likely this plaster cast which is driving me stark raving mad,and may get hacked off,i,m so pissed off with it......sorry guys but i,m going to go,be back later when i,m calmer.........Dave
How about buying the equipment for the reel to reel transfer and doing it yourself? or is this too expensive? Remember I'm ignorant about these things.
Re: the bad mood:, it could be the diabetes. Sugar levels (even without it) are notorious for making you feel really good and then really low....
I know what you mean about being incapacitated. I needed a chauffeur...and it all takes time and energy and relying on the goodwill of others. It's not ingratitiude but a disappointment that you're not free to get on with life as you normally would... Then there's time..lots of it to wish you could be doing the things you'd normally do...vicious circle...best to do what you can and ignore what you can't.
You've now left me with a vision of you running (or is that hopping) around starkers......Watch out for the neighbours!!!!!!...they might join in.
Hello Tamara, just had a glass of glucose,my sugar levels were pretty low,but i still feel slightly agitatated, but your post is bucking me up somwhat.I own the equipment for tranferring albums to tape, but as i now own that Gyrodek there,s no need.Brenda has told me that she will pick up the albums, and i,m not going,or otherwise i,ll have two broken legs, anyway i have to figure out where this T/T is going to be sited,as there,s no room on my current table for it,i could maybe have a platform fitted on the wall, but would it cause or recieve airborne vibrations, going to have to think about this, but i,ll get there in the end.Listening to Purples " Made in Japan" on the Sug,great i really like Child in Time, especially the live version, may go for a bevvy later on,sit in the corner with my pipe and slippers, and a pint in front of me..........yeah right, there,s no way that would happen, she wouldnt let me go that way, said she,d shoot me first.Running or Hopping around starkers, jeeze Tamara you,ve got a wicked sense of humour, love it and you,you know you sound so much like Brenda, and my ex-partner of twenty years,i feel really fortunate to know you,i,ve just got to meet you one day..........and will........i pray..........Take Care Love.........Hoppalong Mush[Hoppalong Dave for short]
Had a quick glimpse at the "American Graffiti "soundtrack and recognise quite a few, infact an embarrassing large number of them. And I like most......I think I'm just unusual in that I don't like many of Elvis's early songs....
"Johnnie Be Good" I posted on here earlier. Chuck Beriry's good but Judas Preist did it and I think their updated version ...
Unfortunately I dont have a record deck anymore but I Keep finding my old record tracks here and there
I used to watch "The Power Hour" early Sat mornings (Like 3 in the monring or so) which had all this 80s rock on. LA Guns, Stryper(!), Motley Crue, Faster Pussycat (Dont Change That Song is classic), Zodiac Mindwarp etc. I miss that show
