Hi Rik h

I've yet to find someone who doesn't like that particular track.

Hi Dave,

The Top 40 drew to close with some cracking tracks.  This is a very quick resume of those I was unfamilar with the last ten.

31 Led Zeppelin-Dazed and Confused. This is phenomenal..

34 Johhny & the Hurricanes-Red River Rock, What would I associate this with?

35 Deep Purple-Picture of Home, fast and furious

36 Eddie Cochran-Summertime Blues It was great to hear this again...and fun

38 Canned Heat-Sic em Pigs enjoyed the sound

Thanks for the posts

see you tomorrow!

Hi Dave,

Yeah, It's a new beginning and I am sure she'll thrive with you two taking care of her.  Build her confidence up.

You sound excited at the idea of shopping so it's obviously good for you too!

Have fun Donkey Dave.

 Hi Electrohead, Rik H

This is Melody Gardot's MySpace site  http://www.myspace.com/melody

and also

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=93565410

It gives a quick resume of her history. Her music is deliberately slow which is apparently requires more concentration.

I keep hoping to hear of further releases but nothing seems to be in the offing yet.

Hi stephen nicholas 2

I only really recognise Riverdance which I found very annoying when I first heard it and it's grown on me since.  The other names sound familar but I can't recall the sounds so I am off to research them. Back in a while.

Hi Tamara,

Do you like contemporary blues/jazz - if so check out Keb Mo, spanish guitar -ottmar liebert. If you like something a bit upbeat Koite Habib. By the way Maire Brennan is Enya's sister.

Have a good day.

Steve.

Hello All,well got her room sorted out, going to do the food shopping tomorrow, somthing to look forward to.......i dont think, bought some CD,s Neil Young,Landing on Water,Canned Heat,Blues Band and Dave Gilmours,Gdansk, got Heat on at the moment, fabulous bass lines, this new pre amp is the best piece of equipment i,ve bought in a long time,i may invest in the Evolution Power Amps,or at least give them a demo. The two bosses are upstairs at the moment changing curtains, they were deliberating for over an hour about which ones to go for, hence the reason we arent going food shopping today, also got new bedroom stuff and some toiletries, you know, youre going to laugh, but i didnt know that her room had its own shower room/toilet,dont think i,ve ever been in it since we moved here 11 years ago,ah well, seems that i assistance is required, talk later..........Dave

Hi Dave,

Like your music list, listening to the Neil Young track Weight of the World...and loving it.  Lght, breezy, upbeat and the message it carries is probably appropriate to both you and me at the moment.."let go of it...the weight of the world"

I'll carch up with the rest later.
