Hi Jeff,

Firstly look at the scart sockets on back of both DVD rec: and sat receiver, these will say tv/rec some will have arrows indicating output/input/ or both, especially the DVD rec:, just use a good RGB scart from sat rec: out, to DVD rec: in/out, you dont say if you have connected to the tv via HDMI cable ?  then you need to find the input channel on DVD rec: this normally gives channel no: 1 - 100, after or before tv channels you will find the scart, in/outputs, Eg: line 1, line 2, and so on, turn on tv put on to HDMI channel, leave sat off? -  NOW Search DVD rec line out 1, 2, etc: till you see picture .

If you are not using HDMI cable just use another scart from DVD rec: tv, to-  tv input socket,   Best of luck, ..Carl
