Hi Phil,
I couldn't resist going back for more!......
This CD has a more Celtic taste to the music..Starting with .Connswater
Celtic Swing is slow, relaxing and has a gentle lilting flute (I think).......like this
Rave on Jon Donne....Spoken intro: .I'd love to hear more of this John Donne was a Jacobean poet and preacher......It is a lovely pun on rave because he would probably been classed as a "Ranter or raver" for his preaching...
Inarticulate Speech of the Heart has a glokenspiel beat and a light harmony in the intro that conjures up.....ethereal images...
Irish Heart can just catch the lyric "Don't care nothing for your soul"...very earthy solid sound.. http://www.lyricsfreak.com/v/van+morrison/irish+heartbeat_20143083.html
The Street Only Knew Your Name. Heading.up tempo.
September Night: Slower, airy, and romantic.....
These observations were made on the intros.... Overall, I'd agree with you. It seems a very relaxing CD...different probably in terms of musical arrangement than others I've heard. Certainly worth buying.
