seeking help yet again, last time people kindly pointed out the best way to connect my Toshiba 32WL48 lcd tv,Panasonic TU-CTH100 freeview/pvr, Denon 3805 av receiver, Denon 3910 dvd/cd and Tannoy Arena speakers. My new system is as above but the Toshiba has now been replaced with a Sony W series Lcd tv with integrated freeview. This tv also came with a Sony Blueray dvd player.

Any advice on the best way to connect would be most gratefully received.

Is my Denon DVD/CD now defunct or will I need it to play cd,s.

How will I make connection so that I can still record with PVR.

As you have already gathered I am a total novice.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Personally I think i would keep the denon to play cds. But leave it a few months and see what differences you can make between the 2 first.

Connect the blu ray with a HDMI cable (best connection and ONLY way you can get it to send high definition pictures) and connect to the reciever either with an optical or co axial cable digital cable (I personally recommend a coaxial if it has one)

The video recorder should connect via scart to the new tv. You need to check the manual out but it (not guaranteed) should have a signal OUT on one of the tv scarts that you can then record whatever your viewing. Invariably this (in my experience) is usually scart 2
