Hello all,

New member to the site, and looking for some expert opinion. Recently moved house (downsize) and purchased a Yamaha YSP40D for ease and simplicity. Unfortunately after previously having separates (a while ago) feel the urge to change again. Am considering the Denon 1909 and Q Acoustics QAv system, obviously this is another soundbar type for the front and additional rears.

Am I wasting my money or will this be a viable more rewarding change? Or has anyone any other suggestions have a budget of 1200.

 Appreciate any help

thanks

Has teh 40D failed to impress then? I've just bought one myself, and following the setup I was really rather pleased with the results. It certainly seems to provide a wonderfully wide sound, if not always truely feeling surrounded, althoguh the lobby scene in Matrix certainly worked well for me.

Steve,

Was pretty impressed to be honest, but after having receiver and surround speakers before sort of missed it. Anyway took the plunge and bought Onkyo 706 and the new Q acoustics surround and feeling happier now!

Only downside ive got more cables than a telephone exchange and a 100 quid lighter in my pocket buying coving to hide them. Looks like ive got a redundant YSP 40D to sell now!!

 regards Kev
