My LCD TV developed a vague black line in the middle of the acreen vertically, have anyone encounter this problem? It is only one year old and a 1080P model.

Ive heard the same of a lot of Toshiba models actually. Whilst ive heard a lot of Sharp tvs just failing alltogether!

Id suggest you contact the dealer you purchased it from and even if its past the guarantee, you do have RIGHTS still. I go on another forum and heard of certain units being replaced free of charge.
