Hi Tamara,

David saw, He is a talented guy I particularly like one of his songs called "into the dark" , I am  not particularly into the country and western style, but he seems to blend it with other styles to make a unique sound that is appealing . The video of David and Carly was very interesting gives us all an insight into how these talented people put it all together.

Another male singer I really love is Terry Callier,

All the best Electro.

Hi Rik H,

Enjoyed them both:

the BRMC is a phenomenal sound and reminds me of the bikers used to know. Only wish I could recall the actual music listened to. In complete contrast their myspace has Cool Water. http://www.myspace.com/blackrebelmotorcycleclub

Wolfmother: "escapist exploration" in rock....http://www.myspace.com/wolfmother...like the track Woman

Hi Electo,

David Saw and Carly Simon made it look so simple......

Terry Callier:

Totally seduced by the sax.  It's a weakness of mine:  His voice is exudes good feelings....yeah this has really got it!

Like Timepeace:  http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dfC3IQ4w_Lk&feature=related

Hi Electro,

His My space is a treat: very varied selection of sounds 3 are live.:

C'est La Vie is obviously very french:  Jazz my Rhythm and Blues...you guessed...Miss Your Candyman has the most beautiful intro.  What Colour is Love without accompanying music at times,....probably the most challenging to sing and produces the entrancing sound.

The Keb Mo "Keep it Simple" I can't do better than to quote from his own site:

"the most personal album of his remarkable ten-year career......Keb's trademark sense of humor crops up on "Prosperity Blues" as he turns the blues idiom inside out proclaiming he's got the blues because he's too happy to sing the blues. Standing in sharp contrast is the poignant "One Friend," a tender song about the power of friendship"

It's very rare for me to like all the tracks of a CD to the point were I'd not be able to pick out a particular favourite but you can't..

Tempted to do a review of this one...but it might be better if you did.

Hi Tamara,

Glad you like it Keb Mo I discovered this year. I might do a review of Eva Cassidy live in blue alleys album - you have to get it.

One of my top 5 albums - maybe close to No 1. Eva voice is very soothing.

Its a sad story - she died in the prime of her years when she was starting to get well known for her voice and music. Her music is so fresh and on a good system will move you emotionally.

I just looked at my cd collection and pulled out tracy chapman - long time since i listened to her music. She has a good voice too.

Cheers,

Steve.

Hi Stephen Nicholas 2,

Glad you got back to me,  I was about to put another order in.  I'd like to read your review of it.  By the time you do it I'll hopefully have a copy too.

Yes she was very young.  I hve been surprised by how many exremely good musicians have died young.

You've got me looking through my collection now;  might have a Tracy chapman hiding there.  Back soon.

Hello All,i think there,s somthing wrong with this site,i,ve been trying to post since 22.00 and it keeps going off.Had a good day, went to Old Trafford, then on to Liverpool,Samantha has taken a shine to the Mamiya 645,going to show her how to process tomorrow. The roller shutter guys have nearly finished, they just need to fix the electronics, and i,ve had word from Bernie that the new amps will be here friday or saturday,so i,ll be giving him the code to gain entry.Had a call from Sis,seems i forgot to mention that i had diabetis, and she,s slightly mad at me,and is going to "quote" knock my stupid head off.Back there on friday afternoon to face the music,Sam,s told me no more curry,s or booze till they find out what i can and cant have, and in what quantities, and that she,s absolutley furious with me,but will decide my fate at a later date........just cant win can i.Still havent heard from my two ex,s but Sis has told me its they who should be worrying, and not to answer any communication from either, but to leave it with her...........Take Care All.........Mush

Hi Electro and all guitar lovers.

Did you catch "Out of the Frying Pan"  A history of the electric guitar...and so of course some great players?  If not give this a listen.
