The freesat channel are beamed down the same satalite "Astra 2 A,B,C,D" as sky channels if you can pick up sky then freesat is no problem, whether you will pick up local stations in Ireland, is not known to me?

This is satalite footprint - if you are in this area you can pick up freesat. look at asra 2 D, and dish size ?
