Sep 8, 2008 – Dvd-ripper-copy.com, the professional DVD to iPod Ripper,Video to iPod Converter software supplier. Apple will release the new iPod Nano - iPod Nano 4Gen in recent days. What 4G Nano look like? So what will the 4G Nano look like? According to Kevin Rose (founder of Digg) that diet has resulted in a longer and thinner iPod Nano, which will look something like this: Yep, it's similar to the 2G Nano, but looks slightly longer and with a larger widescreen display.
Another question, what new features will 4G iPod Nano have? “The new iPod Nano will Change case colors in minute. That means one minute your iPod was red and the next minute your iPod was blue. You'd have a whole rainbow of colors in your pocket ... and you wouldn't have to choose just one.” Said Seth Weintraub, Coputerworld.com editer. Seth also added that“ the 4G iPod Nano will own turn by turn GPS navigation system. It will be in conjunction with Google maps, and GPS maps could be purchased in the iTunes easily.” While all of this function sounds wonderful, no one can be sure until around Apple release new iPod Nano in September. So keep your eyes about it.

Well, it is a nice idea of Apple to produce an iPod nano which changes it's colour. But is this a ground-breaking and necessary invention? I am not sure if I will need it at all costs.... on the other hand I like the idea with the GPS system. Something usefull one can deal with in daily life.

This is a BBC interview about Ipod range: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7607457.stm Lie melanie, I could be tempted by the GPS fascility. I like the idea that it's rivalling the games consoles: demonstrated. The new design is stylish but not a necessary change. The colour change isn't a feature which would impress me. I like the idea of shake and shuffle: a sort of lucky dip of music listening? All in all it's not an immediate rush to buy feeling more a consideratuion for when the inevitable happens to one I have.

I didn't think that there were any enormous improvements in the Ipod range. There was nothing there that made me want to buy any new hardware. There were several things that are obvious that are still missing; wireless synching is an obvious omission and the ability to pick up new podcasts wirelessly is something that they should really have done. All of the most interesting recent improvements for me have been in the area of the Apps store. The remote control app is extremely effective and all the better for being free.

Hi, I am glad you agree with me in some points. I have no iPod and I am happy about it. Because I like to listen to music and thats all. I do not need any extras or special functiones on my mp3. I am content with a few GB and good music (as Tamara already knows I like to listen to music again and again and I don't change the songs on my mp3, weird, I know).

There are a lot of phones that are pretty good for that purpose these days. If you look at what kids are listening to on the tube, it's generally from phones. Maybe Ipods are for old people!

There are a lot of phones that are pretty good for that purpose these days. If you look at what kids are listening to on the tube, it's generally from phones. Maybe Ipods are for old people! lol... I've never seen it from this point. I think that a phone with a mp3 would be enough for me because as I alredy said I don't need so much memory. But even a mobile phone with a huge memory could not compete with a 16GB iPod.... that's the difference. (I think, please correct me)

ok, forget everything i've ever said about the iPod nano 4th G I got one for Christmas and I am still so excited about it. this little gadget can do loads of things and I really like the shake and shuffle feature. Got the 16GB purple version. The sound is brilliant even if you can't turn on the music really loud. Might be becuase of the rubbish head phones from Apple. Will I get a better sound result when i buy some Bose or Sennheiser ear phones? The battery is better than I thought. it lasts for about 24h which is not bad.Lovely little thing

Try Shure. Very good with the current generation of Ipods. At the moment the Sony Walkmans sound quite a lot better (I have both an Ipod and a Walkman) but Sony still hasn't managed to create an interface or overall user experience that is close to the Ipod one. Apple's sense of industrial design is miles ahead.

hey, thanks for the advice. Now I am not quite sure which earphones you mean. The difference in price is amazing There is a pair of earphones for about £234 (Shure SE530PTH Sound Isolating Earphone) and the more money friendly version for £55 (Shure SE110). Which ones are the best? and to be fair: I am a girl and I wouldn't even spend £230 on shoes let alone on earphones!

The cheapest ones are good. They're a very natural sounding earpiece. Some earphones suffer as the result of the Ipod's relatively low power output. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000WDSSYA/pr-electronics-21/ref=asc_df_B000WDSSYA296152
Some of the more expensive ones are possibly not as good (possibly because I suspect they need more power) and we've had users here complain about them in use with the recent generation of Ipod.
The SE110 are the ones that I use. The new SE115 are similar but have a bit more bass. These SE102 at £39 are an option - they're a reissue of the old SE2 which was the predecessor of the SE110 and has a similar sound. http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk/shop/Headphones.6/Shure.44/SE102/Shure_SE102_Sound_Isolating_Earphones.3531.html
I have qualms about spending an enormous amount of money on earbuds as they tend to be shorter lived than other hifi components.
The new Apple earphones have had good reviews but I haven't had an opportunity to try them. http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MA850G/A?fnode=MTY1NDA0Ng&mco=MjE0NDg0NQ They're a dual driver, in ear design. £54.
The early Bose had problems with fit and were later changed so if you go that route, make sure you get the later ones.

That sounds really good Christopher, thanks again. I might go for the SE102 even if I am still wondering about the price ... (my last earphones were about £4 ).Maybe I can test them beforehand? Found another brand for earphones that are apparently very good. http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/titan-p-82.html
