Hi Dean , Just to confuse you even further here is another T amp that is very similar to the poppulse but from what I can see it only uses one 2022 chip where as the poppulse uses two . Here is a link to the Poppulse user manual . See T150 user manual Look at the Hilly T amp 90 . My first choice would be the poppulse T150 but as you have found they are only available from abroad at the moment but the link you have posted seems a good place to buy . The bantam I have no experience of , it is not a T amp but they don't say what it actually is and it is far less powerful . Try and stick to a T amp that uses the 2022 chip like the poppulse and the Hilly T amp . All the best Electro.

Hi Dean , Here are some pictures of my second system using the Poppulse T150. Top shelf is a very old Phillips cd 692 next to the Poppulse , on the bottom is the box containing the crossovers for my QLN Signature HD2 splitfield speakers and next to that a Lynwood advanced mains cleaner .

Hi Dean , Just had another thought , you could use the pre-amp section of your Audiolab via the pre out sockets to control the Poppulse after disabling the volume control on the Poppulse . Look at the user manual here . http://www.cryo-parts.com/PopPulse_T150_manual.pdf Scroll down to the relevant section , it looks a very simple job and has good pictures to show you how . Then you can use your Audiolab as a pre-amp and the Poppulse as a power amp , this will allow you to use your Rega headphone amp as you do at the moment and you will have the same amount of options for all other connections. All you have to do is connect the pre- out sockets on you Audiolab to the input sockets on the Poppulse after the simple mod described in the manual , then connect your speakers to the Poppulse . All the best Electro.

Hi Dean , I just spotted this Audiolab 8000Q pre- amp at an amazing £ 245 brand new . See here Audiolab 8000Q . I used to own one of these quite a few years ago and I paid £1000 for it ! It is a superb pre-amp and in conjunction with the poppulse used as described in my previous post would make a superb pre- power combo. Have a look and see what you think . All the best Electro.

I just purchased the new Audiolab 8200CDQ and the pre-amp section is easily better than my old 8000Q and it will take both analog and digital inputs, with volume control and remote all built in. I recommend!
