Hi Joy, I've got the 42WLT66 and overall I'm pretty pleased with it. The big complaints from other users seems to be; banding on some sets (when you get strips of colour down the side), murky blacks in dimly lit scenes, rubbish remote and poor standard def performance.
Thankfully my set doesn't suffer from banding, but otherwise I would agree things can look a bit too dark on some scenes (due to a relatively low contrast ratio) and the remote is dreadfully slow.
I actually think standard def stuff looks ok. Sure it's not up with the best from Sony or Philips but those sets cost a lot more than £1,350 which is what the Tosh cost me.
If you've got Sky HD & Xbox 360 and want full 1080 glory then you'll be hard pushed to find a better set for the price. Sharp is releasing a 42" 1080p screen this month but I've heard rumblings that it's not particularly good. Sony's new two grand 40" 40W2000 1080p LCD is meant to be a cracker though.
Hope that's of some help.
