Advice on cabling

OK here goes, I am looking to provide a total home re-wire for TV/AV equipment in multiple rooms.

To do this I understand that I will need to provide Free-view and any of the SKY services

I want to be able to have channel choice in any of the rooms which I intend to provide services to.

Lounge,
Bedrooms (3)
Kitchen

Can anyone help with the best way to distribute the require services and how do I go about getting the connections right.

Currently I have an LG 42LC2D in the lounge SKY+ but soon to be SKY HD.
I have a Yamaha RX –V357 AV receiver a little old but does a great job.
A Panasonic DVD recorder DMR-EH50 Completes the list of Hardware.

I want to bring the 3 bedrooms and the Kitchen up to free-view & Sky capable with the second bedroom also having access to the SKY service.

So that’s 3 SKY service and free-view in a total of 4 rooms.

What’s the best way to do this please?

To be perfectly honest, there are two ways of doing this. One way is getting a separate Sky and Freeview box in each room. This will probably mean several satellite dishes (it gets hard to put more than two LNB's per dish, and you need one LNB per satellite tuner - two for a Sky+/Sky HD box). You may be more lucky with a Freeview aerial, but even here you may need more than one twig on the roof (this is a common problem in blocks of flats).

A better plan might be to get a CEDIA installer (or similar) to do the job for you. The dealer may well suggest exactly the schema I've mentioned above, or come up with a more equitable system (remember, you will have to pay up multiple Sky subscriptions - it may be possible to find a solution that uses less boxes with local control.

A lot of the best connectivity here is necessarily complex and outside the perview of DIY installation.

Thanks Alan, for the reply. I guest it would be slightly out side the DIY range but just needed to have a better understanding of the options.

I am looking for a CEDIA installer in my area but it looks like I might be out luck.

I have a local HIFI/TV shop which I have talked to before but not sure if they would be able to manage it will ask them the questions and see where I go

regards
