Hello, first post on here for me. I have just bought a Sony RCD-W100, and want to connect it to my Sony Mini Hi-Fi MHC-RRG55S and my Sony Turntable PS-J20. I cannot get anything to work, even though I apparently have all the correct leads. Cant work out what I'm doing worng. Can any one assist? Ali

What have you got plugged into where? Does the mini ho-fi have a 'tape-loop'? That's what you'd need to connect the recorder to...

A final hurdle by a not very techie person; I've had a wonderful and generous response to my original requests about making cds of my cassette recordings, and I now have a wonderful Nakamichi. James Morrow, that generous and kind gentleman, has advised me to connect my cd recorder directly to the Nak, but my question is: do I stick the output from the Nak to the input on the cd recorder? And do I need to make any other connections? (I am currently without a decent amp, hence the need to do without one!)

No - that should be all you need to do, you'll get the best quality that way. The fewer 'hurdles' in the way of the signal, the higher it's integrity.
