Hello everyone! Just purchased a Bauer 32 in LCD tv from ebay. Screen res is only 1024 x 768. I only just realised after i'd bought it that other 32 in tellies had higher res. Never mind. Still be a good picture you think? Hope so! Its only cost me £290 on ebay so cant complain i guess. Any advice bout resolution? Thanks ..

Hi Malcolm, I'm pretty sure it's still an HD ready telly as although the resolution is lower than usual (most HDTVs of this size are 1366 x 768 pixels) is still meets the minimum 720p requirement for high definition TV. Be interested to hear how you get on - never tried a Bauer before.

Hi mate. Yea well pleased with the tv. Can't see how pic could be better really even on analogue. Dvd pictures are clear as a bell and sound isnt too bad either. My mates got a samsung 50 inch plasma and this pic looks loads better to me. Great looking set too.Looks much better than other cheapo makes. Remote perfect, Love it!!

Nice one, is your mate's Samsung a high definition TV? If it's pre-high def then yeah, a plasma of that size can look decidely ropey!

Yea must be pre-high def. Dont think i'll bother with hi def unless i have to!

hi, just read about your TV, have you had any problems with it? I brought one back in March on ebay and last weekend it blew up! Trying to claim on the warranty but having trouble at the moment. Just wondering if yours was going ok.

No trouble at all. Love it. I suppose any tv could go wrong, well known make or not. You have just been unlucky i think

Interesting dialogue. I have just bid £265 plus delivery for the same TV. Hopefully will be ok. Don't like trhe sound of it blowing up. Can you advise on what hapened and the reason for this, if you can find out? Warranty investigation should provide this, and may be helpfull to other owners.

You can't have a warranty for that price surely? If so i'm jealous!

Yea think they've gone out of business m8. Hope mine doesn't blow. If its does i'll just get a 40 inch anyway. Wish i'd gotten a bigger screen.

I bought mine seven months ago but only started using it for about the last 3 months, last Saturday there was a loud bang a bit of smoke and the power supply blew up! as from what I've been reading its happened to quite a few! i only found this site because I'm trying to get in contact with the manufacturers so i can repair it but by the sounds of it i cant see that happening! avoid them if you can.

I've had mine since feb 2007, no problems at all so far. Great telly i think. Shame not more pixels but good enough. Pictures great with freeview and dvds. Even analogue is good.

Hi, we bought one of these about 6 months ago and last saturday it blew up too. Really not impressed as i can't contact the manufacturer!! STAY CLEAR OF BAUER!!!

Yes Bauer don't exist anymore, thats the problem. Just have to get a new telly if mine goes bang! Still i've had my moneys worth. It cost under £300 for a 32 incher.
