I am looking to purchase a budget hifi system. Sound quality is a must as is MP3 compatibility. Ideally I would like it micro... Any suggestions would be much appreciated... (Budget is £300 tops)

With that kind of budget you should look no further than the Onkyo CS-515DAB (see here for our review). It sounds great and comes with a line-in on the front for an MP3 player, or alternatively you can buy a dedicated iPod dock from Onkyo for an extra £65.

Hello,
Have you had a look at the Roberts MP23? If you're looking for good sound then it has that in spades. You can play your MP3s from an SD card, or just plug your MP3 player into it so it'd probably be just what you're looking for.
Take a look online for cheaper prices, I know aqdab.com sell it.
