centre speaker to go with Dynaudio Audience 5

Evening

This is my first post on this forum.

As the title says, anyone got any ideas on a reasonably priced centre speaker to go with my Audience 5 speakers, which i got in 1997. I'm assuming, rightly or wrongly, that the Dynaudio 42c will go with them. Or are they too old to go with modern speakers.

The other parts of my setup are Myryad MC100 CD player and MI120 Amp, bought at the same time as the Audience 5's. I've also taken a bit of a flyer and bought a Yamaha RXV359 AV receiver from Richer Sounds (which was reduced somewhat from the previous price), which hopefully will act as a go-between for my home cinema until i can afford something a little bit better.

Alternatively, if the Audience 5's are realistically too old, what speakers do people suggest i look at. I would be interested in floorstanders as the main units.

cheers
Simon

I would look at the Audience C120+ as a possibility which is a dedicated centre speaker in the Audience range. If it were me though, I'd buy another pair of Audience 5 second hand and just keep one unit as a spare.

If you're mixing different generations of speakers, it's best to try asking for sale or return or an home demo.
