Good Morning

I am opening a new Sushi Bar venture in central Reading, Berks.

The customer area is approx 5x12 metres (with a standard height plasterboard ceiling) which encompasses a take away section and a seated conveyor for 25 eat in covers. I require a sound system which can play back ground music (as well the odd louder event). We are having a minimilistic fitout so keeping things neat is important - I really want to avoid hanging big ish speakers off the wall.

I want to run a CD player, DAB radio and link up for an ipod through it. I'd also like to pipe a through speakers into the kitchen for the staff.

Can anyone suggest my best options here for a decent budget but effective install.

Also, suggestions on where to purchase the items from would also be very helpful.

All your help is appreciated.

Chris

Presumably you'll need a DAB tuna!

Your issue is that you're distributing to two rooms. You can either just use one amp and wire two sets of speakers, one set to each room. The problem would be that if you wanted to keep the volume down in one room and up in the other, you wouldn't be able to.

Another way of doing it might be to have a system in one room and wire from the 'tape out' sockets in to a system in the other room. Bit messy though.

You could try a Cambridge Audio Incognito distribution system. Not that expensive. You can get the stuff from Richer Sounds. That would probably be the most elegant way of doing it.

Bose cube speakers would look neat, though you'd have to find somewhere to hide the bass module. I think Acoustic Energy make something similar for less money?
