I had one delivered yesterday. I have not stopped playing with in since. Apart from a few setup issues related to the Firewall in Norton 360, and the speed of my Powerline home network its fantastic. It looks good, sounds good, and although it is expensive I am 95% satisfied. As I said I think the other 5% relates to the speed of my network, as its a little slow browing my media centre files. However on this score any potential purchasers should ignore sites that say Twonky Media Centre is required. I can stream files I downloaded with my Napster subscription from a PC running Vista quite happy, regardless of DRM, and I really can't get over how good they sounds. I am just playing Time by Pink Floyd and the clarity is really extraordinary. Anybody with any questions please post and I will be happy to answer. The only thing to remember is its pseudo 5.1, so you wont get full surround. However having just watched Flags of our Fathers on this I don't have any complaints whatsoever. The sound of the ships guns firing in the landing scene shook the whole house. Best £1050 I have ever spent, thanks to Peter Tyson online.

Thanks for the helpful initial review. Do you know if it is possible to access the S 302 manual on-line (a pdf file perhaps). I have found a version in German but I need the English version?

I could not find one either. The sales documents are not even on the UK and US sites yet, so come on Denon get your act together on that score. Any questions though let me know and I will see what I can do with my printed manual.

Thanks again for yuor help. Prior to buying a S302 I wanted to understand the WiFi capability in more detail. I wanted to check whether it could stream audio, image and video files over a home PC wireless network.

Good question. I think the answer is that it can stream audio and images over the wireless. However it does not come with an antenna, according to the manual you have to buy that seperately so I can't test it. My S302 is plugged directly into my router, and the laptop that has my Napster files on it connected wirelessly and audio and images stream OK as well. My desktop with other files is connected with Devolo powerline plugs to my home network and those work fine. I don't believe it can stream video, only WMA, MP3 and Wav files. Alex

So you are using the direct ethernet connection. I will need to work out how to do that given that I will be locating the S302 in a different room to my router. Thanks again - sounds like you are having fun exploring the different capabilities. Brian

I have just treated myself to the S-302 and a Toshiba 46xf355d TV to replace my old tatty stuff. I waited long enough for it to break so I could "honestly" replace it to satisfy the family but in the end had to e bay my quad 99 set up .....sad days. Anyway I just wanted to make sure I maximise the use of the set up correctly with connections. I dont want to go ver the top but want to enusre I link the unit together effectively and correctly. Can anyone advise. I will be connection TV/s-302 - sky+ (not HD) and PS3. Help ? Oh and wirless router from PC ofcourse ! Allan

I am using PCillin anti virus software and having spent 3 months figuring it out, it seems that this software is preventing playing music from my PC on the S302 - anyone else experienced similar problems, fix suggestions??
