Okay, my hifi equipment is slowly coming together. I have a Cambridge Audio A1 amp with a Cambridge Azur 540 pre amp. The turntable is Pro-ject Debut 3 and the speakers are Wharfedale Diamond 8.1's. So it's a nice enough bottom of the range piece of equipment.
For the phono cables I was going to go for either Cambridge Audio Pacific or QED Qunex 2's.
For the speakers I was thinking of going with QED mkII Original Bi-Wire or QED XT300 X- tube (after hearing that a better quality single wire might be better than a bi-wire. )
The budget being around £30 per phono cable and around £5-6 or bi-wire speaker cables or around £9-10 for regular speaker cables (the difference due to the amount of banana plugs I would have to purchase)
1.So, are there better phono and speaker cables for this set up in this price range?
2. If not, which of these choices are better?
3.Are bi-wires better with such a small price difference and on this budget with this set up?
