I've got £300 to spend on a stereo amp, looking for optical and coax connections and preferably bi wireable, the KEF Q4 speakers are the speakers to be driven. Any suggestions?
Also if it is aesthetically pleasing it would be nice. Thanks

Not aware of many amps with optical (digi) input. I may be naive.....

Sorry my mistake.

I'm looking to sell a Myryad Mi-120 integrated in very good condition. Was £700 new. Visit http://www.myryad.co.uk/press.html#MI120 for reviews, etc.

what sort of price were you after? Also is it bi-wireable. Any chance you couold send me a picture of the rear?

I'm looking for £250 + postage. And I'm sure you agree it looks stunning! I think the Myryad website will have the rear panel pic in the manual section. It has basically 4 stereo inputs + 2 tape loop. It also has a bi-AMP output, i.e. can be used as a pre-amp into a power amp, or with a power amp to bi-amp. The gold-plated speaker terminals accept plugs, spades or bare-wire, so you can biwire with plugs on one set and spades on the other, for example. Where are you located please, so you could perhaps have a look at it "in the flesh"!

I'm located in Bristol. I'm very interested in taking you up on that offer. Is there any chance you could email me some pictures of the amp itself because believe it or not i've only been able to find very small pictures. Also as I don't know very much about hifi will I be able to connect a pair of KEF Q4 speakers? Also I'm looking to buy the Roku mp3 streamer and in order to connect I need either a toslink or digital coax in, just curious, why are you selling the amp? Also, do you think these are a good match?

Regards,
Gurminder

Gurminder -

Can't e-mail you because your details are "private". I do you have photos of the amp, so if you can e-mail me your details I'll send them on. Please also advise if you've got broadband or not, so I can send a sensible file size.

I'm selling because I've upgraded to Linn pre/power amps.

If you dont go for that one you could consider my Marantz pm 7200, 4 months old, new condition, hardly used, winner of so many awards WHF Hifi choice etc, gold finish, cost me £330.......quick sale for £200. pictures in most hifi mags or available on the net

Meant to add, that you only need one set of binding posts on the amp end to bi wire, however the marantz has 2 sets, so apart form bi wiring, you could run a 2nd set of speakers somewhere else .

Gurminder,
I'd definately go for the Marantz PM7200, I've bought one about a month a go, it's an excellent Amp and the Gold finish looks slick, the sound quality just gets better and better by the day as it's getting worn in. You won't disappointed.

Gurminder, Sevenoaks Sound & Vision are doing that amp for £239.99, so why don't you give them a try!
