Hi you will need to get your TV swap by Tosh. I got one in July and all was ok with the YUV in the menu. So no need for a swap for me. Tosh has to replace it as it is not a HDTV ready by the rules.

Sarah : Do Toshiba swap the TV completely or just upgrade it. Your link gets you to a page for bying a VGA-RGB cable. My TV can accept this already so why do Toshiba do a swap at all?

Hi Ewan no upgrade, you need to phone up Tosh to get a new TV without this promblem. The link is for a VGA to Component cable. This is the same cable I use to get Component to my 32WL56. With very good results.

Philip did you get your TV sorted then. @ Ewan Toshiba's first lot of LCD's did not have the YUV in the menu. At the time there could not sell the TV as HD ready but they did.

After failures of replacing my 32wl56 Toshiba have now sent me the 32wlt58 model. So yes my problems have been finally sorted. Yes you need to contact Toshiba helpline if you can't get YUV ( component ) feeds via the VGA port. They do know about this problem and will replace the TV like for like.

-Philip Kemp- Hi, how come they replaced it with a wlt58 model? I am waiting for a call back from them regarding the date the new TV will be sent out.
Do you know, are they out of stock of the wl56?
Thanks,
Scott

Scott the reason being is that between Toshiba and DHL I experienced 4 non deliveries. So as agoodwill jesture Toshiba upgraded my set from the 56 to 58 model. The 58 does have an advantage that it has 2 HDMI , component 2 RGB scart. But picture wise is the same as the fantastic 56 model which I was more than happy with.

Thanks Philip,
I will be more than happy with either, indeed a great TV. Will be even better when I can get connected via component ;-)

I have just treated myself to the S-302 and a Toshiba 46xf355d TV to replace my old tatty stuff. I waited long enough for it to break so I could "honestly" replace it to satisfy the family but in the end had to e bay my quad 99 set up .....sad days. Anyway I just wanted to make sure I maximise the use of the set up correctly with connections. I dont want to go ver the top but want to enusre I link the unit together effectively and correctly. Can anyone advise on leads and which to where. I will be connection TV/s-302 - sky+ (not HD) and PS3. Help ? Oh and wirless router from PC ofcourse ! Allan
