Strengths: looks great battleship build and once warm sounds superb too, remote control is a bonus as are the tone controls, nice heavy duty binding post and a phono input will keep you warm in winter
Weaknesses: will fry you in summer, runs very hot, sounds terrible until warmed, best left turned on but eats electric, tad better spacing between inputs needed.
Overall: Great little amp if you can afford to leave it on. i used this with an old pair of dm330i that are very sensitive and the 60w rms was plenty. once warmed the amp sounds great with plenty of bass and not overly bright treble, it just seems to do its job rather well and effortlessly and for the money a bit of a bargain. if you can get one second hand then this could be the bargain of your life. superb!!!
Strengths: tiny, plenty of adjustment, good enough for hifi, can be had for a song second hand.
Weaknesses: not a lot
Overall: This is a great little sub and with careful positioning can produce quite a thump, also this unit is great for dvda/sacd as well as movies but be careful to partner well. if using a large pair of floorstanders then you need to look elsewhere but used with a descent pair of standmounts it adds a very nice extra dollop thump
Strengths: Unbelievable array of connections, TFT screen, plenty of adjustment for a tweeker, upgradeable by downloads, easy navagation, build, great sound when fed with a top CD player as well as DVD.
Weaknesses: TFT still glows when switched off, changing functions using the over sensitive knob can be a real wind up, no microphone input and auto setup.
Overall: If you have the cash I do recommend a lengthy audition - this can produce stunning results when partnered with good quality stuff. I use it with rmb1075, mf xray v3 xdac x10v3 b&w n803 rel q150e atlas interconnects and various DVD players and it's mind blowing.
