Better known for its internet radio station site, Radiopaq has entered a new arena with the launch of its Custom Tuned Earphones range which specifically aim to cater to different sounds created by different musical genres - you know: jazz, rock, classical and pop.
The company claims it is 'worried' that consumers are having to put up with a 'one size fits all' mentality and so has launched these earphones that are mechanically tuned to produce a sound targeted to the kind of music you listen to most.
So the Rock phones for example provide a warm sound with tightly controlled bass, while the Classical offering promises 25 per cent more detail in the mid to high end and Pop a strong vocal balance with up to 30 per cent more detail in the midrange. Jazz meanwhile, is claimed to be better placed to match the rhythm and intensity of the music.
And if you're a jazz lover with a hidden penchant for classical, worry not. Technology manager at Radiopaq John Whitehead has it covered: 'It's like a Ferrari - it might be best suited to the track but it's still a great drive on the road'. Nice analogy John.
Available now with three sizes of earbud for each model, the Radiopaq line retails for £60.
