Marantz has unleashed the monstrous UD9004 Blu-ray player upon us.
The top-end CD, SACD, DVD and Blu-ray Profile 2.0 spinner sports a Silicon Optix Realta processor that delivers HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) broadcast quality video.
Premium features include pixel-by-pixel I/P conversion, 1080p 10-bit upscaling, Detail Enhancement, Digital Noise Reduction and 12-bit Video DAC.
Dual HDMI outputs and AV Pure Direct mode mean premium AV quality by way of separate audio and video signals.
The chassis is copper plated and in three sections to separate audio, video and power circuits and shield components, and as you'd expect from a top-of-the-range Marantz system, insane detail has been paid to the component quality and layout of the high-spec innards to ensure the very best audio and video performance.
The UD9004 goes on sale in August for a hefty £5,500.
